Wandsworth: family-friendly homes offer split-level living

Built on the site of a run-down council estate, these new homes have their own front door facing a new street called Danvers Avenue.

Innovative homes on three levels are for sale in St John’s Way near Clapham Junction, where housing charity Peabody is building 540 private, rental and shared-ownership properties on the site of a run-down council estate and creating a new route through to Wandsworth Common.

The three- and four-bedroom triplexes of up to 1,527sq ft are aimed at young families.
Built as apartment blocks, they have balconies rather than gardens to increase housing density, but have their own front door facing a new street called Danvers Avenue — named for the childhood home of philanthropist George Peabody in Massachusetts, US.

Prices from £975,000. Call 020 3369 8690.
